For the first time ever, YorkFest is collaborating with the York Federation of Students to bring you one of the largest Welcome Week events held on any University or College campus across Canada.

For thousands of new students, YorkFest & Welcome Week are the first glimpse of the many services and opportunities available to them at York. The Village boasts over 200 services, companies and student clubs, as well as a beverage tent. This year the Village will feature a free bar-b-que in Vanier Field. YorkFest & Welcome Week will highlight a free concert for all York students with a major International artist as the headliner. Past performers have included Matthew Good, K-OS, Metric, Bedouin Soundclash, Stars, Talib Kweli, The Stills, Keri Hilson, Kardinal Offishall, and K’naan.

Backed with 15 years of success, YorkFest will now evolve into a momentous student festival, with the new collaboration of the York Federation of Students & Welcome Week towards a successful future.
